Thanks to the great people of Free The Hops, and their amazing work to promote, encourage, and foster beer culture and community in the state of Alabama, we are now able to offer on-site samplings of our beer. The Good People Taproom opened in August 2011. We are proud and thankful to be able to offer this service to our customers. The taproom is located inside our still working, operating brewery. We are located in downtown, adjacent to the beautiful and unique urban greenspace of Railroad Park and Regions Park, home of the Birmingham Barons.
We are excited and committed to being a part of our community and feel that a taproom is an excellent opportunity to engage directly by offering our products and a first-hand experience of the brewery.
The brewery is open and operating five days a week. So if you come in during the week, you might just see us in action.
Since we are not a brewpub and do not have an on-site kitchen, please feel welcome to bring in your own food. Occasionally we will have a local food truck on site during taproom hours who can offer food to our patrons.
We do ask that anyone under 21 be accompanied by a guardian.
The Good People Taproom is available for private functions and renting out. As the Taproom is open to the public 7 days a week, we do seek compensation for loss of potential revenue. At this time, Sunday through Wednesday are preferred days for private events closed to the public.
As we do not believe that alcohol and children should mix, we prefer not to be involved in events that promote/support organizations directly related with children.
We give preference to non-profit organizations, particularly those whose aim is to engage and improve our community.
Portions of Good People’s Taproom are available for private functions. If you are interested in learning about hosting a group or event in the taproom, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
